Columbus Food Adventures: German Village Tour – Columbus, Ohio

2 Jan

German Village is Columbus’ most historic and picturesque neighborhood, full of cobblestone streets lined with beautifully restored brick cottages and meticulously maintained gardens. Join us for our walking tour of German Village, where we’ll share the sights, flavors, and history of the largest privately restored neighborhood in the country.

As the home to some of Columbus’ finest dining establishments, Columbus Food Adventures will give you tastes of the best food German Village has to offer. The stops on our German Village food tour include Lindey’s (voted best restaurant in Columbus) and G Michael’s Bistro with its seasonal low country inspired menu. Katzinger’s, a deli that has become a German Village institution, has been featured on the Food Network’s show ‘The Best Thing I Ever Ate’. Harvest Pizzeria always makes a big splash with it’s gourmet Neapolitan-style pies. And, of course, no visit to German Village is complete without stopping for a treat at Pistacia Vera. Our tour concludes at Barcelona, where we’ll sample from their tapas offering and enjoy a cool refreshing glass of their signature sangria.

The tour starts at Schiller Park Recreation Center at 2pm on Saturdays and will last approximately 4 hours. This tour runs from March-December. Please check the calendar for availability.

We will be walking approximately 2 miles during the tour. Tours run rain or shine so please dress appropriately for the weather. We may be able to accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice, please ask.

This culinary tour is priced at $55.00. It includes tastings at 6 stops and an experienced guide with a wealth of local culinary and historic knowledge. Specific stops are subject to change.
